Kathleen E. Scott, CNM, MSN - Chair

Kathleen.ScottKate Scott started working at the Olson Center in 2008. She received her Master’s degree from Frontier Nursing University.

Kate is married to a retired Navy pilot and has three children, two dogs, and two cats. She enjoys spending time with her family, horseback riding, quilting, running and reading.

Jenny Sharrick, MPH - Vice Chair/Interim Secretary

Headshot for Jenny Sharrick Jenny Sharrick is the Director of Public Health Services at FAMILY, Inc. She oversees the Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health, and 1st Five Healthy Mental Development programs for eight counties in Western Iowa. She has been involved in reproductive health and justice work, and anti-hunger & poverty work for over 15 years. In her spare time she enjoys baking, dancing, going to the zoo with her husband and son, looking for awesome fanny packs, and cuddling her squished-face puppies, Mr. Pickles and Lady Zucchini.

Angie Cantrell - Board Member at Large

Angie Cantrell is a wife and mother of 4 who grew up in the Omaha metro area. She serves as the Director of Community Engagement at MilkWorks, a nonprofit community breastfeeding center.

She has a passion for supporting families through pregnancy and the postpartum period. Making healthcare and related supports equitably accessible is one of her top priorities.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside and working on craft projects.

Megan Falke, DNP, APRN - Board Member at Large

Headshot for Megan FalkeDr. Megan Falke is not just a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and Assistant Professor at Creighton University; she is a dedicated advocate for reproductive and social justice, a passionate community leader, and a loving mother of three beautiful children.

With a career marked by tireless commitment to the well-being of mothers and babies, Dr. Falke stands at the forefront of healthcare, education, and social justice. Dr. Falke's advocacy is deeply personal, rooted in her own experiences as a mother of three and birth worker. Her understanding of the joys and challenges of motherhood fuels her dedication to ensuring that every mother and child receives the care and support they deserve.

Her advocacy work is not just a profession but a calling—one that reflects her unwavering belief in the power of compassion and community.

Julie Madden, MBA - Board Member at Large

Headshot for Julie MaddenJulie Madden is the Asset Liability Manager at First National Bank of Omaha. Holding an MBA from Midland University, she has over a decade of banking experience with a specialization in financial modeling, risk management, and process improvement.

Having personally navigated an unplanned cesarean and VBAC delivery, she intimately understands the complexities and importance of maternal experiences during childbirth. This first-hand knowledge fuels her enthusiasm to ensuring that all families have access to empowering, educated, and supportive birth experiences.
Nicky Clark - Board Member at Large

Nicky Clark

Nicky Clark (she/her) is the first executive director of Elevate Omaha, a youth-driven nonprofit that seeks to shift power to youth and young adults in the areas of advocacy, grantmaking, research, and consultation. She holds a Masters in Social Work from the Grace Abbott School of Social Work at University of Nebraska-Omaha. Previously, Nicky worked her way up for nearly a decade at a large, local nonprofit where she began in an entry level position and left as a vice president. Her career has centered on community-based and driven programming and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility work. Nicky is a born and raised Omahan and still resides in the community she grew up in and which inspired her to choose a career where she can advocate for healthy communities and equitable systems. She is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Leader, a Midlands Business Journal 40-Under-40 awardee, a UNO College of Public Affairs and Community Service Alumni of the Year recipient, and a USA Today Woman of the Year representing Nebraska. However, her most important role is mother to David (9) and Nome (7). She also has an adorable cat named Patty. For fun, Nicky likes to travel with her kids, thrift, try new restaurants, study astrology, and read dystopian fiction.
